Create a room and send the link to a friend. The game runs in your browser; your friend sees and hears it and controls player 2.
Controls (both players): ←↑→↓ move (double-tap = run), Z attack, X jump, C magic, Space pause.
The game asks for a word from the manual at the start; the password table under the game types it in for you. Choose 2 Players by pressing up and then right on the "1 Player" line.

Play Golden Axe with a friend online
Golden Axe is Sega's 1989 fantasy beat 'em up, here in its 1990 DOS version, running in the browser with the js-dos DOSBox emulator. Death Adder has taken the king and his daughter and stolen the Golden Axe. Pick Ax Battler, Tyris Flare or Gilius Thunderhead and fight through Turtle Village and Eagle Island to take it back.
How online two-player works
- Choose the original soundtrack or the "Adder's Iron Rule" remix and press Create room.
- Copy the invite link and send it to a friend. Nothing to install and no account needed.
- Your friend opens the link and presses Join game. The game runs in your browser and streams to theirs; their keys control player 2.
- In the menu, go up to "1 Player" and press right to switch to 2 Players. The manual's password table under the game types the copy-protection word for you.
Controls
Both players: arrow keys to move (double-tap to run), Z attack, X jump, C magic, Space pause. Jump then attack for a downward slash, jump and attack together for a special attack.
